About the Product Schema Generator
Google supports two product features. Product snippets add details such as price and availability to a regular result, and need a name plus an offer, review or rating. Merchant listings appear in shopping experiences and need name, image and an Offer with price and priceCurrency; availability, itemCondition, brand, GTIN, SKU, shipping details and a return policy are recommended.
This product schema generator covers all of those fields and runs in your browser, so product data stays on your device. Match the schema exactly to the page: the price, currency and stock status must be what a shopper sees. Use the price in rupees with INR as the currency for Indian stores, and update the markup automatically from your product database rather than by hand, so it never falls out of sync after a sale or stock change.
How to use it
- Enter the product name, images, description, brand and identifiers.
- Add the offer: price, currency, availability and condition.
- Add shipping details and a return policy if you sell online.
- Copy the JSON-LD into the product template and validate it.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between product snippets and merchant listings?
Product snippets enhance a normal search result with details like price, availability or ratings, and suit any page about a product, including reviews. Merchant listings are for pages where the product can be bought, and can appear in Google's shopping-focused results. Merchant listings ask for more data, including image and a complete Offer.
Is GTIN required in Product schema?
GTIN is recommended rather than required in the markup, but it helps Google match your product with the same item elsewhere. If your product has a manufacturer barcode, include it. Merchant Center has its own identifier rules for feeds, so check those separately if you also submit a feed.
What happens if the schema price differs from the page price?
Mismatched prices confuse shoppers and can lead Google to ignore the markup or flag the item. The price, currency and availability in the JSON-LD should always match the visible page and, if you use Merchant Center, the feed. Generate markup dynamically from the same data source as the page.
