About the Free Keyword Generator
This keyword generator takes a seed such as "running shoes" and combines it with common modifiers (best, cheap, near me, for beginners, vs, alternatives, price, year), question words and prepositions. Results are grouped by pattern, so you can scan comparison ideas, buying ideas and how-to ideas separately instead of one long list.
The ideas are generated patterns, not data from a search engine, so no search volumes are shown or invented. Use the list to brainstorm angles you might have missed, remove anything that does not fit your business, then check demand for the shortlist in Google Keyword Planner or in your Search Console queries. Everything runs in your browser, so your seed terms stay on your device.
How to use it
- Enter a seed keyword that describes your product, service or topic.
- Review the ideas grouped by modifier, question and preposition patterns.
- Remove irrelevant ideas and export the rest as CSV.
- Check search volumes for your shortlist in Google Keyword Planner or Search Console.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't the keyword generator show search volume?
Accurate volume data comes from search engines and paid data providers. Rather than show estimates we cannot verify, this tool focuses on generating ideas. Paste your shortlist into Google Keyword Planner, which is free with a Google Ads account, or compare it with queries that already earn impressions in Search Console.
Are generated keywords real searches?
Some will be, some will not. The tool combines your seed with patterns people commonly use, so the output is a set of plausible ideas rather than a verified list. Validate them with Keyword Planner, Search Console, Google's autocomplete and the results pages before you create content.
How many seed keywords should I use?
Start with one short seed per topic, such as "accounting software" rather than a full sentence. Short seeds combine more naturally with modifiers and questions. Run separate seeds for different products or services so each export stays focused on one topic.
