About the SEO Competitor Page Comparison

When a competitor outranks you, looking at their page next to yours often reveals why. This SEO competitor comparison tool fetches your page and up to two competitor pages and compares them side by side: titles, meta descriptions, H1s, word counts, heading counts, images, internal and external links, schema types, Open Graph tags, page size and response time.

The differences point to practical questions. Do they cover more subtopics, shown by more headings? Do they use structured data you do not? Is their page lighter and faster? Use the comparison to find gaps, not to copy. Rankings also depend on backlinks, brand and intent match, which on-page data cannot show. The tool checks public URLs only.

How to use it

  1. Enter your page URL and one or two competitor URLs ranking for the same keyword.
  2. Run the comparison to fetch all pages side by side.
  3. Compare headings, word count, schema, links and speed for gaps.
  4. Improve your page where competitors cover the topic better.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose which competitor pages to compare?

Search for your target keyword and pick pages ranking above you that serve the same intent, for example two guides if yours is a guide, or two product pages if yours is a product page. Comparing against a different type of page, such as a marketplace listing versus a blog post, gives misleading conclusions.

Should I match my competitor's word count?

Not automatically. A higher word count often reflects broader topic coverage, which can be worth matching, but length alone is not a ranking factor. Look at what the extra words cover. If they answer questions your page skips, add that content; if they are padding, a focused page can compete well.

Why can't the tool show competitor backlinks or traffic?

This tool compares what is on the pages themselves, fetched live from public URLs. Backlinks and traffic need large third-party link indexes or the site owner's analytics data, which are outside what a page fetch can see. Combine this comparison with a backlink tool if links seem to be the deciding factor.
