About the Ad Budget Calculator

Most budgets start with a number someone picked. This ad budget calculator starts with an outcome instead. Enter how many conversions you want per month, your expected CPC and landing page conversion rate. Clicks needed are the goal divided by conversion rate, the monthly budget is those clicks multiplied by CPC, and the daily budget divides that by days in the month. Expected CPA is CPC divided by conversion rate.

If the budget looks too high, the levers are visible: a better conversion rate or lower CPC cuts the spend needed for the same goal. Treat the result as a starting point, because real CPCs and conversion rates move with the auction. The tool runs in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Enter the number of conversions you want each month.
  2. Add your expected CPC and landing page conversion rate.
  3. Set the number of days in the month.
  4. Use the daily budget figure in your campaign settings and review after a few weeks.

Frequently asked questions

How much should I spend on Google Ads?

Work backwards from your goal. Divide target conversions by conversion rate to get clicks needed, then multiply by average CPC. If you want 100 leads, convert 4% of clicks and pay ₹25 per click, you need about ₹62,500 a month.

Where do I get CPC and conversion rate if I have never run ads?

Google Ads Keyword Planner gives bid estimates for keywords. For conversion rate, use your website's current rate from analytics as a cautious starting point. Run a small test budget first, then plug in your real numbers. Treat early estimates loosely until you have a few weeks of data.

Why does Google spend more than my daily budget on some days?

Google Ads can spend up to twice the average daily budget on a given day when traffic is higher, while keeping monthly spend within roughly 30.4 times the daily budget. That is why the monthly figure is the more reliable planning number.
